A Little Bit About Coach Margie
My deepest desire is for you to have joy and peace in your life, as you navigate the terrain of chronic disease. While not the easiest thing to do, especially when racked with pain or a mind bending fatigue, I have learned that we can still have a decent and enjoyable life, despite. I want to help you get to this point, as I have.
As a 3 decade warrior of Lyme Disease, and a Master Certified Life and Retreat Coach, I have the ability to guide the way for you. I will not do the work for you, however. Think of me as the lighthouse, guiding your way to shore in a storm. You still need to steer the boat and work to keep yourself from crashing on the rocks. You have to take responsibility for your journey, and your healing. It is the only way.
Over 200 hours of coach training through Mountain Coaching, Coachville, the Retreat Coaches Network, and hosting many events, tele-seminars, conferences, workshops, and retreats, has given me the experience and wisdom to understand the needs of those I work with. Through out the 18 yrs of doing this work, which I needed to stop completely for 2 yrs due to my journey with Lyme, I have developed a style of gentle tough love, mixed with a dose of humor, and sprinkled with laughter. I like our work together to be fun, yet serious. Laughter is always the best medicine. If we can't laugh at ourselves while we stumble and fall, uncover self sabotaging behaviors, attempt new ways of doing things, and gain new perspectives then we just won't have a good time, and then who will want to do the work??
Dealing with chronic illness often means dramatic lifestyle changes and spiritual upheaval/renewal. I know, I have been there! I had to look at everything that did, and did not, define my life. This includes relationships, career, money, diet, lifestyle, beliefs, and spiritual grounding. I personally had to put everything, and I mean everything, in my life down and focus 100% on my healing. This led to questions about my self worth and value, and most likely this journey will for you too. I offer compassion, empathy, personal experience, trust, confidentiality, a safe place to release and express, loving guidance, personal support and professional presence.
You will need a 100% commitment to your healing, a willingness to try new things and to do anything it takes, trust, perseverance, and courage. I will provide guidance, resources, options, strategies, (I've done many hours of research!!) and hope. You will not have to endure the journey alone. I am here for you.
Blessings on your journey,
Coach Margie
